Magical Ending! Season Passes on Sale

April 11

It was boundary-to-boundary for our final weekend of skiing...going out with a banger pow!

Greetings from Londonderry,

Our "Final Four" days were all-time! Powder days with 100% of the mountain open at the end after 21" fell last Wednesday-Thursday. Both the Quad and Red Chair ran on Saturday for no lines at the lifts and yet, no crowds on the slopes either!

After a spectacular eclipse on Monday, Vermont has settled back into its more normal Spring weather, with warmer temperatures and some rainy days. So we couldn't have asked for a better way to close out the season on the highest of notes. It was good to see so many come for one last hurrah to the ski season.

After a little break, our operations team, led by Paul Maitland, is already anxious to get a jump on the 24/25 season with lift maintenance and snowmaking projects over the off-season, and still some on-mountain repair work from last summer's flooding. But the snowmaking pond is back in shape and will be ready to start snowmaking in early November when the first cold snap hits for an early season opening!

The 24/25 season will feature:

- more snowmaking, earlier, for maximum coverage and fantastic grooming on our East and West Side snowmaking trails, plus adding Witch to Black Line to the snowmaking trails;
- the Black Quad, Red Chair and Green Chair ready-to-go for zero lines over the busy holiday periods and peak season;
-  more great entertainment, food and beverages at the Black Line Tavern;
- and, most importantly, you! We only do all this for the most laid-back, welcoming and adventurous skiers and riders in the East who enjoy getting after it on the mountain and in Tavern.

Season Passes are now here at our lowest "Early Bird" prices with ZERO price increase over last year and zero-interest monthly payment plans thru November 15th so we can keep skiing and riding more affordable for more people. New for this year, Unlimited adult season passes also come with two (2) free FRIENDS tickets! And, a Magic unlimited pass gets you access to an Indy Add-On Pass at 30% off. We will also keep parking here free, free, free.

Thank you in advance for supporting our vision of a less crowded (lift lines and on trails), more laid-back, intimate and soulful ski experience.

On our last weekend, we wanted to "drain the kegs", with a big old party on the deck and in the Tavern. I'm pleased to report that you did an incredible job of doing just that. All kegs were drained at closing on Sunday. Cheers!

Inside the lodge, Kerry, Josh and John are laying out plans for a fun Summer and Fall,  with improvements to the Tavern space and kitchen facilities as well. There will be some major events/fundraisers here (like Cinco Dead Mayo) with live concerts from the Alpen Deck and more Weddings/rehearsal dinners as the mountain will look even better than ever! A fresh summer menu from John will be coming out soon as we expect the Tavern to be open earlier with dining service by late May/early June. We will keep you posted on all the off-season events to enjoy more Magic in all seasons.

I want to thank our fabulous staff for all the hard work they put in over a long season to serve you and take care of you. So many are local to the surrounding mountain town community in southern Vermont and they bring that hometown feel to Magic and its skiers and riders who venture here. Also, special thanks to our mostly volunteer Ski Patrol team who train tirelessly, take care of our customer's safety and any injuries, and who open a lot of terrain here for our more "adventurous" skiers. The entire Magic team truly "makes magic happen" here.

It was a memorable Magical ending to the season, and it's an important reminder that "it ain't over, until it's over"!

Keeping the soul in skiing,

Geoff
