THE ALPINE UPDATE

May is Springing!

May 2nd

What a difference 3 weeks makes. Patches of snow still hanging on in a few areas...

Greetings from Londonderry,

Spring has sprung here and our operations crew, headed by Paul Maitland, is already prepping for the 24/25 season with you.

Our lift mechanics (Dan, Jeff and Russ) have begun summer maintenance work on all 3 chair lifts, including the new Quad. 20% of all chairs have been removed on each for routine inspection, grip work and non-destructive testing for safety. Line work has also started so that we are well ahead of the game heading into fall state lift inspections.

With the beautiful spring weather, the surrounding base lodge/deck/parking lot areas are going through upkeep and beautification as we prepare for off-season wedding celebrations, concert events, fundraisers, and regular summer re-opening (5/31) of Black Line Tavern/Deck restaurant operations. Paul and Don are heading those efforts up with the first major event this Saturday: Cinco "Dead" Mayo!

Lift maintenance work has already begun after our 4/7 closing date...

There will be continuation of on-mountain trail and parking lot repairs from last year's flooding event during the next few months as well as continual upgrades to our snowmaking system, which will be overseen by Paul and Andrew as Magic will be operating its system full-tilt as of early November for an earlier start to the ski season in 24/25!
