THE ALPINE UPDATE

Winterfest meets Mardi Gras
February 20
Snow much fun this week with 100% open!
Greetings from Londonderry!
The good times will continue from last weekend's snow (13" since Saturday) to this weekend's sunny skies and warmer temperatures!
We had a record setting weekend here for skiers visiting our soulful enclave, yet there were no lines at the lifts or over-crowded trails. Southern Vermont then got hammered with extreme winds early this week forcing many areas to close on Monday, but the last couple of days have been calmer and bluebird days with lots of families vacationing up here and enjoying all of Magic's spectacular variety of classic trails and glades mountain-wide.
This weekend features our annual WINTERFEST Celebration with a little Mardi Gras twist as well! The fun begins on Saturday's ski day with Narnia and Mardi Gras-themed costumes all day with a costume contest in the Terrain Park 1-2p; 3-4pm bonfire and s'mores party at the TBAR; and, an apres ski party going in the Tavern with Sammy B playing from 3-6p. After that it's a full night party with Torchlight Parade at 8pm, fireworks at 8:15 and the Glen David Andrews band up from New Orleans delivering the high-energy Mardi Gras dance atmosphere! There will be New Olreans-based food and drink specials. Should be a fun day outside and inside as our community gives a group "high-five" to a wonderful winter season and ski community to play with all the way into spring season.
Let's close out Presidents Week together with a bang!

Important Reminder: If you already have a Magic RFID Card, have already made your ticket reservation/purchase, and have signed your waivers, you do not need to wait in line at the ticket office--you can go straight to the lift!
The Night Park will be open again this Saturday from 4-7pm.
